WHY IS BOARD CERTIFICATION IMPORTANT?

Board certification requires extensive training and a rigorous review of a doctor’s knowledge, experience and skill in a medical specialty. Board certification also means that a doctor is actively improving his or her practice of medicine through continuing education. A board-certified doctor is more likely than a non-board-certified doctor to have the most current skills and knowledge about how to treat your medical condition. Dr. Ethan Brown received his undergraduate degree from Rice University, where he is a community associate advisor and received his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch – Galveston in 1993. He completed his residency at the University of Texas at Houston, Hermann Hospital. Dr. Ethan Brown is board-certified in emergency medicine and has practiced emergency medicine for over 16 years. He grew up in Houston and has lots of family and friends in the Katy area.
