Advantage Of ERs Over Urgent Cares

Although Urgent Care facilities do a good job on many simple ailments, not everything that seems simple is mild. And therefore, those apparently mild symptoms in many cases should be evaluated at a full-service Emergency Room, that has Board Certified Emergency Room Physicians on-site 24/7, versus a nurse practitioner or family physician typically at urgent cares.

At an emergency medical center like ER Katy, we have all the necessary equipment available to make sure these mild issues aren’t something more serious or potentially deadly. Emergency medical services including CT scan, ultrasound, X-ray, licensed lab with heart attack and blood clot labs, and pharmacy –
all available 24/7, with immediate results, without an appointment.

Some seemingly mild symptoms can be indicators of something more severe:

  • Excessive Belching can = Heart Attack
  • Excessive Hiccups can = Heart Attack
  • Dizzy / light-headed = Heart Attack
  • Tooth / jaw pain can = Heart Attack
  • Back pain can = Heart Attack
  • Arm pain can = Heart Attack
  • Chest pain can = Heart Attack
  • Neck pain can = Heart Attack
  • Shoulder pain can = Heart Attack
  • Heartburn can = Heart Attack
  • Trouble Breathing can = Heart Attack
  • Palpitations can = Heart Attack
  • Nausea/vomiting can = Heart Attack

Don’t ignore any atypical seemingly mild symptoms.

The ER Physician at ER Katy can accurately diagnose these potentially life-threatening ailments.
