Dr. Ethan T. Brown

Dr. Ethan T. Brown

Dr. Ethan T. Brown, MD is the Medical Director at ER Katy.  He graduated from Memorial High School.  He received his undergraduate degree in Biology from Rice University, and graduated from The University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston.  In 1996, he completed his Residency in Emergency Medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Memorial Hermann Hospital. Dr. Brown has been Board Certified in Emergency Medicine since 1998 and served as Medical Director for two other Emergency Rooms prior to ER Katy.

Dr. Brown grew up in Houston, Texas and he and his family have lived in the Katy area for over 20 years. He enjoys boating and playing sports with his family when he is not at the ER.  Recently, he started volunteering at sail boat races, setting up the courses and lending a hand on the committee boats. Apparently, community mindedness runs in the family; Katy is also the home of “Ride On”, an organization started by his mother, providing therapeutic horseback riding for special needs children.

 

Dr. Brown is passionate about providing the families of Katy with the best medical care available, in a compassionate, patient-centered environment.

 

 

Fite

Dr. Diana Fite

Dr. Diana Fite, MD, FACEP has practiced Emergency Medicine for the past 34 years, working primarily in Houston and the surrounding area, including Tomball, Katy, and Brenham. Born and raised in Amarillo, Texas, she graduated from West Texas State University in 1975, and from The University of Texas Medical School at Houston in 1978.  

Dr. Fite was quite notably the first female President of the Texas College of Emergency Physicians. She has served as legislative chair for the Texas College of Emergency Physicians for the past 22 years, and is chair of the Emergency Medicine Political Action Committee of Texas, and the Texas delegation to the American College of Emergency Physicians. Dr. Fite was honored by the American College of Emergency Physicians with the prestigious James D. Mills Outstanding Contribution to Emergency Medicine Award in 2013.

 

Dr. Fite served as President of the Harris County Medical Society, with 12,000 members, in 2006. She also served as President of the Houston Academy of Medicine. Dr. Fite has been president of the American Association of Women Emergency Physicians, and is currently on the Board of Trustees of the Texas Medical Association, a 45,000 member association representing all Texas physicians. She is also a delegate to the American Medical Association.

 

Dr. Fite lives in Tomball, is the mother of eight children, and now the proud grandmother of nine.

 

Dr. Carolyn S. Galloway

Dr. Carolyn S. Galloway

Dr. Carolyn S. Galloway, MPH, MD, FACEP is a native Texan, born and raised in Borge.  She grew up with typical "middle child syndrome" as the over-achiever in a family of 5 kids. After graduating from Baylor University in Waco, Dr. Galloway received a Masters in Public Health from The University of Texas-Houston School of Public Health and then went on to receive her Medical Degree in 1978 from The University of Texas-Houston Medical School. Following her general surgery internship in the Department of Surgery at UT-Houston, Dr. Galloway pursued her career and board certification in Emergency Medicine while serving as an EMS Medical Director for numerous EMS providers.

 

After 15 years in community-based emergency medicine practice and as an EMS Medical Director for numerous EMS providers, Dr. Galloway joined the UT-Houston Medical School faculty in 1994. During this time, Dr. Galloway had the opportunity to serve as Medical Director of the Hermann Hospital Emergency Center, Transfer Center, and MEDCON (a centralized on-line medical direction source for affiliate EMS providers). In March 2000, Dr. Galloway returned to a community-based emergency medicine practice and to her work with EMS providers on local, regional, and state levels.

 

In December 2000, Dr. Galloway joined AIG International Services (AIG-IS) in the capacity of Medical Director. AIG-IS is a member company of American International Group and has provided worldwide emergency assistance services since 1990. The primary focus of AIG-IS is to provide a wide array of services to clients 24/7/365 in the following three broad categories: medical, travel, and relocation. As Medical Director, Dr. Galloway directed a team of medical professionals who provided medical consultation services to a variety of worldwide clients.

 

Dr. Galloway and her husband, Boyer Taylor (who kept his maiden name), reside in the southwest Houston. Their “blended family” of eight enjoys water sports of all kinds, kayaking, scuba diving, tennis, biking, skiing and golf. College loyalty is split among Texas A&M-Bryan College Station, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, UT-Austin, University of Houston, and Rice—where Dr. Galloway pursued her studies. During the precious quiet times at the Galloway-Taylor homefront, the couple secretly drags out the cigars and plays a round of pool or ping-pong. They've even been known to sneak off and kick up their heels, two-stepping to the music at the local C&W hangout!

 

 

Dr. George W. Pettit

Dr. George W. Pettit

Dr. George Walter Pettit, MD, PhD. is Board Certified in Internal and Emergency Medicine.  He received his BA from Kent State University in 1969, and went on to receive his PhD. in Physiology and Biomedical Physics in 1974, followed by an MD and Residency in Internal Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine in 1984.

 

His extensive career in medicine began in 1971, with a position as instructor of Comparative Vertebrate Anatomy at Dominican College in Houston. He has since held a multitude of medical positions including his service as Research Physiologist at the U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases in Maryland, as a Staff Physician at First Choice ER in The Woodlands and as Staff Physician in the AOK Emergency Room in Houston.

 

Dr. Pettit is a member of the American College of Emergency Physicians, the American Medical Association, and the American Physiological Society. He is married to Cheri Michele Pettit and has seven beautiful children.

 

Elizabeth Eubank

Elizabeth Eubank, Nurse Manager

Elizabeth Eubank (Leisa) achieved her RN in Alabama and has worked in ICU and Emergency fields in North Dakota and Texas over the years. She lives in Spring with her husband, Jerry, and their three Brittany Spaniels. They are blessed with 2 children both married and welcomed their first grandchild last year. She is a strong believer in Customer Service and strives to be her best everyday.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Cathy Dowgar

Cathy Dowgar, Radiology Manager

Cathy graduated from South Plains College in Levelland Texas in June 1998 with an Associate degree in Radiologic Technology. She worked in radiology for 12 years at a Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock Texas before moving to East Texas. Since that time Cathy has worked in a Free Standing Emergency Room. She is registered by ARRT in both Radiography and Computed Tomography. Her husband Dusty and she are blessed with three amazing children and four beautiful grandchildren.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Amy Clepper

Amy Clepper, Front Office

Amy Clepper received her Associates of Applied Science from Lone Star College. She has worked in the medical field for over 10 years, many of which have been in free-standing Emergency Rooms. Amy and her husband Josh enjoy hiking, camping and anything else outdoors. She currently resides in the Cypress, Texas area.
